World Record For Super Low-E Tempering

Tamglass, part of Glaston Technologies, introduced its new Sonic high convection flat tempering furnace at the Vitrum exhibition in Italy. The Sonic uses Tamglass' horizontal tempering technology and is the start of a new generation of very fast tempering machines. This machine is designed for the tempering of super low-E low emissivity glass products, mainly for insulated glazing units and other architectural applications. Tamglass claims that the Sonic's speed of processing complicated glass products is a world record. Sonic enables continuing production of window and door glass with 65% bed utilisation. This processing is carried out with a chartered optimum super low-E glass processing speed of 33 sec/mm at the highest quality. The convection heating system itself brings important advantages that add up to increased capacity. See: www.tamglass.com
