The torrential downpours of northern Europe are a well-known occasional inconvenience to drivers, who find it hard to gain visibility through their windscreens with the sole help of windscreen wipers, which are often not enough against the driving rain. This article presents what could be the solution to one of the motorists' most distressful problems. Belgian manufacturer Cascada has developed a new coating for car windscreens which is the result of many years of research, and which was presented at the Glasstec 2000 trade fair in Dusseldorf October 2000.
