According to market analysis company InterConnection Consulting Group, the Eastern European windows market has rebounded into stable growth since 2004. In 2005,4.7% more windows were sold in 5 countries studied; Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary & the Czech Republic. This compares with growth of 2.7% in 2004, & a further rise to 5.5% growth is predicted for the next 3 years. A total of 18.8M windows were sold in the region in 2005. Poland was largely responsible for the average annual 4.3% fall in sales over the period 1999-2004; however, its market grew by 2.2% for the first time in some years in 2005. The Czech Republic remains the boom market in this part of Europe. Demand grew 9.9% in 2004 & by over 10% in 2005 as construction & renovation continued to expand amid massive demand for new housing. Growth in Hungary fell to 3.5% in 2005 as demand for new properties fell.
