Western Australia is the nation's most resource-rich state whose diversity of significant mineral output is unrivalled in the world marketplace. In 1995/6 about 13% of mineral production, valued at A$1,465m., was derived from industrial minerals, mainly titanium minerals and diamonds, together with many other key commodities.
