According to a report, the Wedgwood Group is launching a new campaign to expand sales in Taiwan after it set up a local branch in March. Executives of Wedgwood in Taiwan said the company will reselect department stores to establish special counters to simultaneously market its three major brands - Wedgwood, Waterford and Rosenthal - to give wider selection to consumers. The premier supplier acquired crystal product company Waterford in the early 1980s and Germany's Rosenthal porcelain firm in 1997. Wedgwood will officially take over the sales operations from its Taiwan agent in December, the report said. The company will also step up efforts to develop the gifts market and wholesalers services to group clients. They said Taiwan will become another major market in Asia after the company successuflly made inroads into the Japanese market.
