Waterford: Property Deal For Land At Plant Site

Waterford Wedgwood will redevelop land at its Kilbarry crystal manufacturing site in a joint venture agreed with Ballymore Properties. The luxury goods maker said that the Kilbarry, County Waterford, plant had 14.5 hectares of excess land in a prime location and that it would generate a better return being developed. Although the value of the deal with Ballymore was not disclosed, the crystal firm is expected to make a significant return on the project. The company said that the deal will not affect production or staff levels at the plant.
