Water Hammer Breakage Of A Glass Container

This study was to verify how the water hammer phenomenon would be affected by glass distribution at the heel and the bottom of a glass container. Cavitation was observed and the stress generated measured then a calculation was made using mathematical models. As a result, a new approach which would contribute to further reduction in the occurrence of water hammer breakage was found.
