Waste Minimisation, A Mixed Batch

The Environmental Technology Best Practice Programme recently held a one day seminar hosted by Pilkington at the company's Greengate plant in St Helens. The basis of the event was the launch of the New Practice cast study NC167 which demonstrates the financial and environmental benefits of reusing waste batch in glass manufacture. The overall cost savings of the demonstration project were over £53,000.
