Waste Gas Filter Installation For Saint-Gobain Emballage

Saint-Gobain Emballage has invested more than EUR 5M on the installation of a gas purification system at its plant in Saint-Romain-le-Puy, southern France, local news portal Usine Nouvelle reported on 26 November 2007. The system uses an electric filter to remove lead and dust particles and then expels the purified gases through a 42-metre high smokestack. The installation of the system brings the plant into line with French legislation on harmful atmospheric emissions.
