[Ware Handling] Flask Sweepout Success

The production of flask containers has always caused difficult handling challenges for glassmakers, especially in the sweepout area. These containers have a high centre of gravity and easily tip over. In recent years, Belgium-based Duratemp has focused specifically on providing handling solutions for flask containers. While not an easy task, the company's team of technical specialists has developed a simple and effective sweepout assembly design that will, according to the company, increase lehr input by changing to this system. This article describes the successful installation of Dura Temp's flask sweepout assemblies at Allied Glass' plant in Leeds.
