Voltammetry In Molten Glasses

Electrochemical methods convenient for investigations of aqueous solutions, in many cases are applicable to glass melts, due to their high ionic conductivity at high temperatures. With the aid of voltammetric methods, standard potentials of redox pairs can be determined. Additionally, self diffusion coefficients of multivalent elements can be determined. Another technical application of voltammetry is the quantitative in-situ determination of polyvalent elements in technical glass plants.
