Voa Pleased With Its Light Colours - Reconstruction Of No 2 Furnace

Almost 3 years after the start-up of its light colouring process, Verrerie d'Albi (Saint-Gobain) is making around 1% (10,000/day) of its production as coloured glass bottles. Nine colours are now available, the darkest one being royal blue, which was used last year the the Perrier 2004 year-end event bottle. The alcoholic beverages sector remains stable but the wines sector has exceeded all expectations. VOA is preparing to rebuild its number 2 furnace dedicated to antique and champagne colours, costing some Euros 13M.
