Vma: Non-Contact Wall Thickness Sensors

The first non-contact wall thickness sensors of German VMA were used both for on-line inspection, as well as for measuring non-round containers. These instruments provide regular measurement of the wall thickness, even in areas that cannot be measured without other methods. This article introduces the new entries to the TM(C) line of inspection equipment, highlighting the benefits to be obtained from their use, and the MTA system, which provides mould number referred wall thickness trend analysis, and is the logistical extension model of the TM(C)
