Viscosity Of Lead Silicate Glasses Below Glass Transition Temperature By The Fibre Bending Method

Viscosities of lead silicate glass fibres with a diameter of about 100um were analysed below the glass transition temperature using the fibre bending method. By measuring the curvature of the bent fibre, the residual strain and the stress were evaluated and the viscosity calculated.
