Viridor Approval

Viridor Waste Management has gained planning permission for an integrated waste management facility at Heathfield, Devon. The site will add to existing landfill facilities with the building of two materials reclamation facilities - one to deal with up to 90,000/tpy household dry recyclables and one for up to 75,000/tpy non-hazardous commercial and industrial wastes. There will also be an in-vessel composting plant, a fitters' workshop, a depot for waste collection vehicles and a three million cubic metre extension to landfill facilities.
