[Vietnam[ Nsg Delays Float Line Construction

Following a review of demand and capacity in the supply of products for the touch panel market, officials at the NSG Group have decided to delay the company's plans to build a float line in Veitnam to manufacture value-added thin glass, according to a news release. A revised timetable for the project will be determined in due course. NSG Ultra Fine Flat glass (UFF) products are increasingly being used in the growing touch panel market, particularly in mobile devices and computers. The group is confident that it will be able to meet near to medium-term demand from its existing production facilities. The decision follows the company's announcement December 2011 of a delay in plans to build a line in Vietnam for the production of glass for the solar energy sector.
