[Vietnam] New Factory Unveiled

Vietnam's first factory manufacturing high-grade and large-sized glass products officially began operations in April in Dong Nai Province. Company officials state that the factory could help reduce the nation's reliance on imports for finished products. The SADO Group has invested around US$ 23.8M in the projects first phase, deploying technologies from global industry leaders including LiSec, Glaston and Benteler. The total cost of the project, implemented in two phases, is estimated at some US$ 95M. General Director Nguyen Cong Chinh said his company is the only one in the country that can provide glass products of sizes up to 3.3m x 6.0m that meet exacting EU standards, including those that apply to soundproofing and insulation.
