Vetropack: Increased Sales, Stable Revenues, Solid Financing

Vetropack Group has increased unit sales by 11.1% & continued expanding its export markets. Group consolidated gross revenues amounted to CHF 331.8M during the first half of 2010. Consolidated EBIT reached CHF 42.6M (Half Year 2009: CHF 51.5M), whilst consolidated net profit fell to CHF 19.6M for the first half year (Half Year 2009: CHF 45.8M). Cash flow margin remained sound at 19.3% (Half Year 2009: 20.6%). All facilities operated at full capacity. During the first half of 2010, Vetropack Group posted consolidated gross revenues of CHF 331.8M (Half Year 2009: CHF 334.0M). The decline in revenues is attributable to the strong Swiss franc's effect on foreign exchange differentials, a sharp fall in sales prices, as well as an adjustment to the product mix. In real terms, gross revenues are up 2.6% on the 2009 figure.
