Verifying Stress Measurements In Float Glass Manufacture

In this article, the authors propose an alternative procedure for the calibration and verification of on-line flat glass membrane stress measurement devices and demonstrate a predictable relationship between temporary local heating and corresponding thermal-induced compressive stress of the ribbon.
