The owner of Belgian crystal maker Val Saint-Lambert, Brussels business woman Sylvie Henquin, has acquired the Val Saint-Lambert (FSL) trademark for EUR 70,000, it was reported 10 Oct 2005. The VSL trademark was held by the authorities of the southern Belgian region of Wallonia, the previous owner. According to Ms Henquin, who bought the company in 2003, the transaction was necessary for the Val Saint-Lambert's market debut in November 2005. The Wallonia authority retains the right to buy back the trademark, if it goes on sale. Val Saint-Lambert hopes to raise EUR 2.5M from a possible market debut in November 2005, it was reported on 5 Sept, 2005. The funds will be used to open new stores in Europe, New York, Tokyo and Dubai.
