Uv Printing And Hot Foil Stamping Combination

Due to the increase of organic decoration and UV printing onto glass items, Fermac have observed a need to reproduce metallic colours on coated and flint bottles. Consequently, the company has now developed a complete line and process for hot foil stamping onto UV printing. This is the result of a joint initiative with CER, the lading French company for the manufacture of hot foil stamping equipment and consumables. A fusion of skills brings the required combination of pre-treatment, UV ink and foil to guarantee positive results in terms of quality, mechanical and chemical resistance and performance. On flint glass, a special pre-treatment is used with Pyrosil to prepare the surface to improve adhesion, whereas on coated bottles, basic flaming is used. Fermac offers different motion and CNC machines within its machine range for UV printing, while CER provides different equipment options to hot stamp on the same objects (cylindrical or shaped). Already, lines using this concept have been sold and successfully put into production for spirits bottles and cosmetic-perfumery packaging. For more information, please visit: www.fermac.it/website/
