Using Petroleum Hydrocarbons For Thermochemical Treatment Of Silicate Glasses

The effects of vapour from the gasoline fraction of oil on the water stability of industrial glasses (sheet, tubing, fibre) have been examined. The advantages of coatings of this type are discussed briefly.
