Using Domestic Filter Dust As A Batch Component

Continuous recycling of in-house filter dust is considered state-of-the-art practice in the German glass container industry. However, the practical aspects of using dust as a batch component are more or less based on empirical experience. Here the authors report the results of some recent investigations focusing on the risk of enrichment of critical dust components and the redox behaviour of the filter dust.
