Use Of Existing Data Sets On Technical Glasses For The Development Of New Glass Compositions Using A Modified Simplex Method Of Sequential Optimisation

A modified simplex method of sequential optimization has been used to obtain glasses having an excellent alkali resistance, in a compositional range that allows them to be drawn into fibres for reinforcing cementitious material. Some of these glasses have been prepared and submitted to alkali resistance tests according to DIN 12111 and 52322.
