[Usa] Steuben Create Greenbrier Classic Trophy

Crystal glass manufacturer Steuben Glass has announced the completion of a special commission for The Greenbrier five-diamond luxury resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, for The Greenbrier Classic. The crystal trophy, based upon The Greenbrier's iconic Springhouse, is crowned with a sterling silver golfer, and will reside in the resort's lower lobby. The trophy is almost 3ft high and weighs 60 pounds. Each side of the walnut base has an embedded crystal block where the names of each year's winner will be engraved. This piece is a prime example of Steuben executing a unique, custom-made special commission to a client's exacting specifications, with the fluting in the dome created by copper wheel engraving, a Steuben speciality and rare 17th century technique practiced by few artisans in the world.
