In recognition of its inventive packaging design for pharmaceutical vials, Owens-Illinois Inc. has received an Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis Foundation on the 1-Clic(R) Packaging System. The 1-Clic Packaging System from OI features an easy-open reversible closure that provides a single audible "click" to indicate the closure has been secured correctly - a feature that encourages consistent & proper use. The closure can be used in a child-resistant or non-child-resistant position. The Arthritis Foundation encourages development of products & packaging that are easy to use by all Americans, but especially those with arthritis who may have pain and limited movement. An independent review panel of design experts, people with arthritis & health professionals evaluate products for recognition.
