[Usa] New Glass Industry Association Moves To Promote The Industry

The Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC), incorporated in September 1998, is moving forward on a broad front to promote the interests and growth of the US glass industry as a whole. Its formation represents a milestone development for the glass industry. Other industries have had organizations that have operated on behalf of the entire industry and have been very effective in consolidating benefits for the industry as a whole. Until the formation of the GMIC, the US glass industry had no "umbrella" body to represent its interests.
