[Usa] New Fire Impact Glass (Wireless) & Framing

[USA] Wire Glass Must Be Removed from all educational facilities which include all K-12 construction. Also athletic facilities which cover gymnasiums, basketball courts, & racquetball courts & may extend to rooms used for kickboxing & aerobics classes. The International Code Council voted in April to act on the recommendation of the committee & remove the exemption for wired glass when it comes to Category E (educational facilities) & athletic facilities. Some jurisdictions have already indicated their acceptance of the new "I-Codes". Others may want to review the changes prior to acceptance. To date, the greatest number of known incidents involving wired glass has been in K-12 schools or athletic facilities. That's not to say the same thing doesn't happen elsewhere. There is a move underway in some states to expand the restrictions.
