Flat glass prices in the USA saw a big jump, relative to recent month-to-month changes, in December 2014, increasing 1.8% from the previous month, according to the latest Producer Price Index Report issued by the US Labor Department. The spike comes after flat glass prices rose 0.5% from October-November. The PPI program measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic products for their output, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The prices included are from the first commercial transaction for many products and some services. The flat glass index sits at 123.2, continuing to to up after mostly steady increases throughout 2014. The latest bump in prices puts them up 3.4% for the year.
