Us Container Glass

Battered but not bowed could be the rallying cry for those remaining in the US container glass industry. Battered by the rise and rise of PET plastic and aluminium containers but gaining an injection of vitality from the vigour of the beer market. The industry's period of consolidation and restructuring now seems to be drawing to a close and the market is moving closer to a position of balance in supply and demand. Glass's image of quality and environmental acceptability now have to be backed up with continous technological developments and product innovation to halt the decline in existing markets and capture new contracts.
