Ural Glassworks - Negotiations Finalised

Gennady Tveritinov, Director of JSC Ural glassworks, recently confirmed that negotiations with the Hungarian float glass manufacturer Tandako were finalised for the construction project of a glass factory in Irbit. The project concerns several areas: Float-glass production method; Glass recycling; & Manufacture of insulating materials (glass wool). Estimated volume of investments in the new production of float glass can reach 100M/Euros. There is an urgent local need in glass production in the Middle Urals. The Sverdlovsk Region used in 2010 60M sq/ft glass, doubling the figure from 2009. New federal program to build social & other housing will be reflected at all levels of the construction industry. The intensification of the industry would require the introduction of new facilities & upgrading of glass manufacture.
