Swiss group Glas Trösch (represented in Ukraine by "Ukrglas") plans to expand in the Dnipropetrovsk region in the spring of 2013 with the launch of the 2nd line of insulating glass. Implementation of the project was assisted by the Dnepropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA) with funding of more than $ 3M. Glas Trosch have a second plant in Krivoy Rog . Glass production still imported from Poland, so investors are considering the construction of a plant for the production of glass facades. The project involves the creation of 300 jobs and an investment of $ 250M. In the Ukraine, Glas Trösch owns 10 companies (Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev, Krivoy Rog, Odessa, etc.), which employs over one thousand people. The total production capacity of the Ukrainian companies is more than than 5 million square meters of glass per year. "The fact that the Swiss partners intend to develop business in Dnipropetrovsk, to build a new plant - is yet another confirmation of the favourable business climate in the region," - said Dmitry Kolesnikov. It is believed the project will begin this year.
