Saint-Gobain group company Solaglas Windowcare is to invest millions of pounds into its UK-wide operations with new equipment and job opportunities. MD Ian Davy said the group, which specialises in around-the-clock glazing and glass replacement, would be expanding its insurance, commercial glazing, maintenance and call management services. Company vehicles will be given a new livery and its website and internal signs will change, aligning the firm more closely to the Saint-Gobain Group. Solaglas specialises in installing and repairing windows, doors, garage doors and conservatories for clients including major insurers, government agencies, local councils and shops. In 2006, the window care activities of the group made up £21M of the group's total £150M turnover.
