Uk Primary Packaging Trends

According to a recent report from market analysts MSI in 1995 UK consumption of food and drink packaging is projected to increase by some 4% to a volume of 3.41m tonnes. Glass packaging will account for 49% of food and drink primary packaging. Plastic will account for 24% and paper and board and tinplate will represent 15% and 8% respectively. The remaining 4% is projected to be accounted for by aluminium packaging.
