[Uae] Emirates Glass: Production Capacity Tripled

Leading flat glass processor Emirates Glass, has reported that its annual production capacity has tripled to more than 3.5M/sq.m. thanks to the installation of a state-of-the-art coating line. Emirates Glass is wholly owned by Dubai Investments. The Terra-G sputter-coating line, which was installed as part of its US$ 43.5M investment plans, is now operating fully, producing cut-to-size & stock sheet post-temperable, high performance coated glass under the popular EmiCool brand name. "The capacity expansion will enable Emirates Glass to capitalize more effectively on demand for energy-efficient architectural glass & emerge as a truly global player in the glass industry," said Ziad Yazbeck, Senior VP, sales, "The move will allow us to diversify our position geographically & expand our market in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, & Europe," he noted.
