Treatment Of Soda-Lime-Silica Glass Surfaces With Fluorine-Containing Gases

Laboratory studies to elucidate the interaction between fluorine-containing gases and glass surfaces in the range 450-650 degrees C have been carried out with reference to the effect of tetrafluoromethane and difluoroethane on a Danner tubing glass and a Fourcault sheet glass.
