A Tough Act To Follow

Saint-Gobain Solaglass is a processor of toughened curved glass, SGG Contour, with the facilities to produce a huge variety of curves using a wide range of glass types and sizes. Sited in Bishop Auckland, and accredited with ISO 9002, the company is equipped with what they describe as the most sophisticated combined curving and toughening furnace in Europe which can handle sheets of glass up to 3,650mm x 2,130mm. Any thickness of glass between 5mm and 19mm can be curved and toughened, as the computer assisted furnace takes account of the variable heat input required for the different thickness and size of each panel. The resulting panels are toughened to the same standard as BS 6206 flat toughened safety glass.
