Tin Bath Bottom Blocks

Float glass production needs a tin bath and a tin bath needs bottom blocks. Fireclay refractory blocks are susceptible to Na2O attack and hence a build-up of nepheline. This article decribes research on alternative materials which has highlighted calcium alumina blocks as particularly resistant to this problem.
