The Time-Dependent Change Of Radiation-Induced Optical Band As Criteria Of Glass Disordering

The evolution of the spectral shape of the radiation-induced optical band of the deep level defect in amorphous and glassy material was simulated using a computer taking into account microscopic structure of the defect. The model suggest that the energy of local phonon connected with the defect has a wide distribution through glass martrix at short times after the irradiation pulse due to the presence of random local strains in the disordered atomic network of the glass.
