Third German Float Plant For Euroglas

Euroglas has commissioned its third float glass site in Osterweddingen, Germany, in April. The environmentally-friendly production site includes a three-step treatment facility for gases and 50% of its power requirement is covered by using its own waste heat. Float glass production is around 700/tpd, producing glass with thicknesses between 3-19mm and includes extra long lengths of glass sheets over 12 metres. A total of 446 people are employed at the site.
