Teco And Taiwan Glass In Vacuum Glass Tie-Up

The Taiwan-based TECO Group and Taiwan Glass Corp, recently announced the formation of a JV to integrate core technology for the production of vacuum insulating glass (VIG). The venture, named TG TECO Vacuum Insulated Glass Corp, will tap the energy-saving glass market in Taiwan and China. Its factory will be located in the Changhua Coastal Industrial Park in central Taiwan. Construction of the factory is expected to be completed by the end of June 2012, and equipment pilot run should take place around the end of the third quarter.
