Technology To Help Protect Lightweight Containers

Glass companies need a solution which will allow them to track and trace how their containers are being handled in the supply chain, and allow them to quickly investigate, identify and correct any materials handling concerns. They need a technology solution which incorporates preventative maintenance capabilities into new quality control processes. Sensor Wireless, a Canadian IT company, approached Glass Technology Services with a solution called Agent Quality Control (AgentQC). It looks just like a real product, moves freely through the supply chain with real product, experiences all the same handling and environmental forces, and reports back what it is experiencing in real time. When a critical event occurs, it can be seen immediately, and a time and date stamped report is provided. The system is explained in more detail in this article.
