Tandem Machines Installed

The Saint-Gobain Emballage plant in St Romain le Puy is now operating two tandem forming machines supplied by Bottero of Italy. Work on the plant, which is intended as a model of efficient production, began in 1995 and it started up in December 1996. The order for a whole range of Bottero hot end equipment was placed in February of last year, with delivery scheduled for October. The equipment includes four type 703 high speed feeders, one 6+6 section 5.5in DG tandem IS machine and one 8+8 section DG 5.5in machine. Both lines are equipped with AIS conveyors fitted with silent chain, EFC-200 electronic timing systems, EDG-200 gob distributors, EPS-112 pusher systems and FMC-200 flexible drive systems.
