Tamglass Grows Eastward

Tamglass is to build a new and larger factory in China to increase the production of its glass processing machinery there and to expand its product range. Bavelloni products will also now be made there. Sales in China of glass processing machinery are growing and are tending to move towards higher technology machines. Tamglass and Bavelloni are both part of Glaston Technologies, a company owned by the Finnish industrial group Kyro. Demand for spare parts and machine options has improved, and orders for used machines are strong. Further developments of the Tamglass-Bavelloni joint maintenance network are also planned. The glass processing division of Tamglass also has good orders, but restructuring and efficiency improvement measures have been undertaken at its Finton business.
