Microwave dielectric ceramics with the general formula A5NbxTa4-x015 (A=Ba, Sr, Mg for x = 0,1,2,3,4) were prepared by the conventional solid-state ceramic route. The dielectric properties were measured in the microwave frequency region. The solid solutions show intermediate microwave dielectric properties of the parent ceramics except for Sr5Nb4-x015, where a gradual decrease in dielectric constant followed by a drastic increase for the end member Sr5Ta4015 is observed.
