The Surface Chemistry Of Float And Lead Crystal Glass

In this article, the author, formerly of PPG Industries glass technical centre, compares the surface behaviour of float glass and lead crystal glass in three different chemical environments. The effects of heat and humidity, tap water from various regions and detergent solutions present interesting findings in terms of preserving the appearance of these glasses.
