A Supply Chain Reaction

Brunner Mond produces and supplies soda ash, a key constituent in glass manufacture. The company has two plants in the UK, where it also has its headquarters with additional plants in The Netherlands and Kenya. The group produces 1.7m tonnes of sodium carbonate (soda ash) each year, 50% of which is used in glass production. 1m tonnes of the total production are manufactured in Cheshire and the company is the UK's only manufacturer of soda ash.
