Guardian's recent triple anniversary event brought together all areas of the UK and glazing industry to celebrate the company's 10th year as a UK float glass manufacturer, the fifth year of its state-of-the-art laminating line, and the launch of a magnetron sputter coater, which has been in production since September 2012. A who's who of UK industry attended the celebrations in Goole, including well-known distributors, national window companies and smaller businesses, popular faces from the industry's trade associations, along with architects and specifiers from around the country. In his keynote address, Scott Thomsen, President of Guardian's Global Flat Glass Division talked about the industry on a global scale and explained his views on innovation and adding value to flat glass products. He went into detail about Guardian's latest magnetron glass coater and how vacuum sputter coaters offer the pinnacle of modern glass coating technology and represent the future for flat glass coatings.
