Subcritical Crack Growth In Soda-Lime Glass In Combined Mode I And Mode Ii Loading

Subcritical crack growth under mixed-mode loading was studied in soda-lime glass. Stress intensities for kinked cracks were assessed using the method of caustics and an initial decrease and a subsequent increase in the subcritical crack growth rates were shown to correlate with the variations of the mode I and II intensities.
