Study Examines Behaviour Of Metals In Contact With Molten Glass

Reactions between different metals and molten glass during the container forming process will, in some cases, influence the microstructure of the corresponding glass surface and thus, the strength of the container prouduced. Studies of different materials used in the forming process and their behaviour in contact with molten glass are described here.
